PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the inside of a cylinder head by enabling to adopt a Siamese-connection type suction port with its branch point inside the cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A main suction port 16 with larger passage-section-area among two suction ports 16 and 17 is shaped into a helical one, and the other auxiliary suction port 17 is shaped into a straight one. A branch point 22 between two suction ports 16 and 17 is inside a cylinder head 14, and both ports 16 and 17 are constructed into a Siamese port 23. A cylinder head 11 is provided with a cylinder head cavity 30 with a main combustion chamber 29 inside. The flow passing through the main suction port 16 generates strong swirl 42 in a combustion chamber 15 on the basis of the helical shape, and stabilizes the combustion. In the area of high speed, the helical shape increases the resistance of the flow and the flow rate of the auxiliary suction port 17 for ensuring the charging efficiency and a high output. |
