PURPOSE:To use a memory for data storage efficiently and to trace a main program efficiently by providing a function of interrupting the tracing of a program during the period of an instruction for separation from the program being executed temporarily. CONSTITUTION:For the instruction which separates from the program being traced temporarily, the function of interrupting the tracing during the period is provided. For example, a tracing start indication is set in an address coincidence circuit 1 and when the set address coincides with the address on an address bus 6, the address on the address bus 6 is sent to a data writing circuit 2 and information on the writing or reading of data on a data bus 7 is written in a memory 4. Then, a special instruction deciding circuit 3 reads an instruction to inform the address coincidence circuit 7 and the data writing circuit 2 that the read instruction is a special instruction when so, and then set the next address of the address of the special instruction; and the writing of information from the address bus and data bus to the memory 4. |
