PURPOSE:To permit easy manual taking-out of a recording medium even if an automatic ejection mechanism is out of order by providing an operating member which permits the manual ejection of the recording medium thereto. CONSTITUTION:A button 3 as the operating member for manual ejection of a magnetic disk and a button 4 for automatic ejection of the magnetic disk 7 are provided to a front panel 1. An operator pushes the button 3 for the manual ejection by means of a ball point pen 6 or the like when the automatic ejection of the magnetic disk 7 is infeasible. A latch interlocked to the button 3 is then released and the magnetic disk is ejected by a spring pressure.
