The invention relates to a hub dynamo for pedal-powered vehicles with an identical conventional mode of operation. The invention consists in the point of attachment inside the wheel hub. The invention has the object of placing the dynamo, which is installed on the frame in a troublesome fashion, so as to be invisible, so as to run more quietly without faults in damp weather and so as to eliminate water turbulence. This is achieved by installation in a hub. For this purpose, the axle is controlled in the central part as a half cage and the dynamo is attached in it. The drive is transmitted from a ring gear attached in the hub to an intermediate shaft with a bevel gear. The rotational impetus of the shaft is used to drive the dynamo shaft by means of two bevel gears on the intermediate shaft and on the dynamo shaft, the pairs of gear wheels ensuring the necessary transmission ratio. For the purpose of engagement and disengagement, the intermediate shaft is tiltably mounted with control by means of the bored-on axle, which permits all the gear wheels to be disengaged. The current delivery also takes place by means of the axle but on the other side.
