PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the method for restoring an economically executable HDD factory download image of a computer system by storing a software restoration image on a hard disk drive(HDD) and restoring the software image on the HDD like a new factory download image state. SOLUTION: The computer system 10 includes at least one central processing unit 12, an input/output device 14, a hard disk drive 16, a CD-ROM drive, other storage devices 18 like a memory device, and various other subsystems 20 like a network interface card, which are all interconnected through a bus 22. A diagnostic disket 24 is included here so that it is discussed. Consequently, while the original breakage of factory download is caused, the user can re-store the factory download advantageously in a 'brand-new-like' factor download state. |
