PURPOSE:To reduce heat generation at the irradiation of light and to extend the life of a light source by controlling the quantity of irraidated light of destaticization light before transferring in accordance with either one or both of signals from a developing bias and toner density detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A developing bias controlling circuit controlls an electric power signal required for driving a developing bias power pack when the operator depresses a keyboard switch on an operation part and one output of the developing bias controlling circuit is inputted to a lamp controlling circuit. In a copying machine using a developer consisting of two components, a toner density detecting means, a toner sensor, detects the fluidity and bulk density of the developer or other contents, a control circuit is actuated by a signal from the toner sensor and the output of the control circuit is inputted to a lamp controlling circuit and a toner supply controlling circuit simultaneously. The lamp controlling circuit controls lamp output voltage in accordance with the output signal from the developing bias controlling circuit and the output signal from the toner density detection controlling circuit. |
