PURPOSE:To obtain a reproducing tone quality to a high quality, by recording and reproducing a carrier wave whose frequency is modulated by a sound signal, by use of two magnetic heads for recording and reproducing a video signal for many hours, which are provided on a rotary cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A sound signal applied to an input terminal 7 is amplified 8, a carrier wave of prescribed frequency is frequency-modulated by a modulator 9 constituted of a PLL, etc., and a carrier wave of a sound is overlapped on a video signal and is recorded. When reproducing, the carrier wave reproduced by audio heads 5 and 6 passes through a rotary transformer 11, the head 5 or 6 side is selected by a switching circuit 10 so that a head output of the side where the carrier wave is reproduced is obtained, and the carrier wave is amplified by an amplifier 12. When this amplified carrier wave is demodulated by a demodulator 13 constituted of a PLL, etc., and is amplified by an amplifier 14, the sound signal applied to the terminal 7 is obtained in an output terminal 15. |
