<p>PURPOSE:To detect a corona discharge direct from the end of a primary winding, by connecting an impedance to the earth side end of the primary winding to primary winding to provide the impedance with a terminal for detecting corona discharge. CONSTITUTION:One end of a primary winding 3 of a transformer 2 for an instrument is connected to a circuit 1 intended to measure a voltage while the other end thereof is connected to an input end 12 of a high frequency transformer 11 and earthed through another input terminal 14. Output terminals of the transformer 11 is connected to a corona detector 13 as corona detection terminals 9 and 10. When detecting a corona discharge, a switch 8 normally closed is opened and the unit 13 connected to the terminals 9 and 10 is readied for performing detection.</p> |
