In this machine, a support spindle (14) with a roller drilling head is mounted on a boom arm in such a way that it can be driven in a rotatable manner. Cylinder bores in which pistons (15, 16) are loaded hydraulically are provided at the front end of the support spindle (14). The pistons (15, 16) are connected via guide pieces to guide rods (17, 18) which serve as anti-rotation locking means and are guided in bores in the support spindle. The pistons (15, 16) are connected to hollow bodies (38, 39), on the outer circumference of which bearing elements (40, 41, 42, 43) are provided for the rotatable mounting of tool casings (46, 47). Fastened to the tool casings are tool rings (53 to 56, 57 to 60) which are formed with cutting edges at their largest periphery. The tool casings are connected to one another via an elastic ring element (105) and to a flange (103) via an elastic ring element (104), as a result of which it is possible to rotate as a unit the cutting rings formed from tool casings and tool rings. The direction of oscillation of the linear exciters formed from pistons and cylinders can be changed by turning the support spindle. <IMAGE>
