The accumulator-loading valve serves to supply a fluid accumulator (24) as a matter of priority before at least one other consumer (26), in particular in hydraulic devices on vehicles. The valve has a housing (10) with a cylinder bore which extends between a pump connection (12), an accumulator connection (14) and a consumer connection (16) for the consumer or further consumers (26) and contains a control chamber (36) into which the accumulator pressure can be transferred. The housing (10) contains a pilot-control piston (76) on which the accumulator pressure acts on the one side and an initial load acts on the other side and which leaves open a connection between the control chamber (36) and a return connection (18) for a return line (28) only below a lower operating pressure in the fluid accumulator (24). Guided in the cylinder bore is a main control piston (60) which, with an annular face (A36-A34) formed on it, defines the control chamber (36) and is preloaded by a spring (70) in such a way that, when the operating pressure falls below the lower limit, it leaves free a connection between pump connection (12) and accumulator connection (14) and separates the consumer connection (16) from the pump connection (12). On the other hand, if an upper operating pressure is exceeded, the main control piston (60) clears a connection between pump connection (12) and consumer connection (16) and separates the accumulator connection (14) from the pump connection (12). The fluid accumulator (24) is thereby protected from overloading. <IMAGE>
