PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of an image carrier from damage or dirt at the time of jamming or the like by fitting a cover to put on the surface of the image carrier so as to move between the 1st and the 2nd positions. CONSTITUTION:In a process kit having the image carrier and a process means working to the carrier unitedly and attachable/detachable to/from an image formation device, the cover 20 to interrupt the exposed surface of a photosensitive drum 3 and protect the surface is united with the process kit at its lower part. When a working lever 25 is rotated in the clockwise direction, a shaft 23 is turned and the cover is rotated in the clockwise direction through an oscillation arm 22 and removed from the position putting the surface of the photosensitive drum 3. When force is not applied to the working lever 25, the cover 20 is excited in the counterclcockwise direction by a spring 24 and always put on the position covering the surface of the drum 3, interrupting light and preventing the drum 3 from damage. |
