A connecting part for the connection of a horizontally running furniture part to an upright, main furniture member or the like which is provided with a latching rail, has a section projecting essentially horizontally from a latching rail and has at least one projection provided for insertion into recesses in the latching rail, the centre line of the projection (3, 12, 14, 24, 25) which is intended for insertion into recesses in the latching rail (1, 1') following an uninterrupted line and, in the inserted state, enclosing an angle deviating at least slightly from 90 DEG with the front side of the latching rail (1, 1'), and the horizontally projecting section (8, 8') of the connecting part (4, 4', 4'', 4''') changing at its free end if required into an arc-shaped spring (9) which is preferably provided with a catch (10). <IMAGE>
