<p>EP--70779 A 2-(2'-imidazolinyl or 3',4',5',6'-tetrahydro-2-pyrimidinyl or 4',5',6',7'-tetrahydro-1'H- 1,3-diazepin-2'-yl)-4-R-6-X-phenol derivs. of formula (I) and their acid addition salts are new. - In (I) X is halo, nitro, methoxy, methylthio, methylsulphinyl, methylsulphonyl, amino, acetamido or allyl; R is H, alkyl esp. tert-butyl or isobutyl, cycloalkyl esp. cyclohexyl, alkylcyclo-alkyl esp. methylcyclopentyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or halo and n is 0, 1 or 2. - (I) are antihypertensives which cause little tachycardia and have low toxicity (LD50 i.p. in rats is 128-500 mg/kg or higher). (I) may be administered orally (10-200 mg) or parenterally (2-50 mg). Activity tests are described.</p> |
