PURPOSE:To shorten a transmission time and to utilize a transmission line effectively, by storing temporarily input picture information in a memory and transmitting part of the stored picture information. CONSTITUTION:When the transmission of only optional picture information in all pieces of picture information is specified with a switch 34, picture information from a read scanning part 2 is stored in the picture memory 32 through an extraction processing circuit 31. A coordinate input device performs picture information display on the basis of the stored picture information data. Once an optional position on the coordinate input device 33 is specified with a light pen, its position information is inputted to the extraction processing circuit 31. The extraction processing circuit 31 reads the picture data out of the picture memory 32 on th basis of the position information and sends the read picture information data to an encoding circuit 3. The encoded picture information data is sent out through a modulator 4. |
