PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent movement of paper by firmly supporting the paper during cutting and prevent ink from being transferred onto the paper when drawing is to be done on the paper. SOLUTION: Paper 48 on a platen 6 is sandwiched between a driving roller 30 and a pressure roller 53, and the driving roller 30 is rotated back and forth by means of a controller to feed the paper 48 in the direction of an X-axis; drawing is done on the paper 48 by means of a drawing head 10 as the paper 48 is cut by means of a cutter pen held by the drawing head 10. The pressure roller is located on each side of the paper 48 and another pressure roller is located at the middle of the paper 48, all of the rollers capable of rising and falling relative to the driving roller 30. During cutting, the middle pressure roller 53 falls automatically and the paper 48 is supported at three points by the pressure rollers on both sides and the middle pressure roller 53. During drawing, the middle pressure roller 53 rises automatically and the paper is supported at two points by the pressure rollers on both sides.
