PURPOSE:To obtain a printing control system to ensure the printing of characters and graphs by a simple constitution with small capacities of power source without the needs for the specific treatment and detection of printing patterns for the host system. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 4 to send out a control signal in such a way as to switch printing speeds at the same dot pitch as a command corresponding to a printing mode to be sent from a host system 1 is provided. Furthermore, a clock generation circuit 7 to generate clock pulse of a duty cycle corresponding to the control signals from the control circuit 4 is provided. A printing mechanism is driven synchronously with the clock pulse, and even in the case of graphic printing mode, printing is made at the same dot pitch and at low speeds. |
