LOCKING STRUCTURE FOR STOPPING TURNING OF ATTACHING/ DETACHING MECHANISM OF CUTTER OR TOOL, ETC.

PURPOSE:To enable stopping of turning of an attaching/detaching mechanism by carving a key groove on the shank section of an adpator and by providing a key on the coupling hole side of a holder so that the key can be protruded into the coupling hole freely. CONSTITUTION:When the shank section 9a of an adaptor 9' is inserted into the coupling hole 22 on a holder 8 side, if a key groove 30 carved on the shank section 9a does not match a key 25' provided on a chuck section 8b side, the key 25' is pushed back against the energizing force of a spring 26 through the insertion action of the shank section 9a and is pressed to the peripheral wall face of the shank section. Under this condition, when a main shaft 6 is rotated with a tap 10' being pressed to a work, the adaptor 9' side slips, then the holder 8 side is rotated idly and the key is coupled with the key groove. Accordingly, the locking of the adaptor against the holder can be performed automatically.
