PURPOSE:To obtain a color transfer-type printer capable of performing one-line printing of colors by one-time scanning by using a system in which an ink ribbon is shifted in the widthwise direction by as much a distance as the color- coded portion by three rollers and plural recording heads are arranged in the scanning direction. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon 5 is sent out of a reel 7, passed through a recording head and a recording paper 3 through three inclined rollers 6, and then rolled around a reel 8. The ink ribbon 5 is shifted in its widthwise direction by as much a distance as color-coded portions by three rotary rollers 6 in almost parallel with the ribbon 5 and also inclined in the longitudinal direction of the ribbon 5 by a carriage 1. On the other hand, three recording heads 4(4Y, 4M, and 4C) are arranged correspondingly to each color zone of the ink ribbon 5. In this case, each recording head 4 in which many recording elements are aligned in one row at a right angle to the scanning direction S of the head is used. |
