<p>The braided tape (3) made from plain metallic wires, is applied to the core (4) by means of a trumpet-shaped tool. The screen is formed into a tube producing a close fit over the core of the cable. The external sheath (2) is performed on a machine to a given thickness. The braided tape overlaps along the length of the cable (1) to ensure good contact. A plastics tape is stuck to one edge of the screen. It seals the screen around the core.</p> |
