PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal printer capable of giving high-quality printing by a method in which a curved form of heat sink plate is provided on the back side of a heating resistor and the pressure distribution in the thermal head and the platen roller is equalized. CONSTITUTION:Plural heating resistors 5 provided in parallel along the axial line of a platen roller, a connector 6, and a driver receiver 7 are provided on the upside, or the side where the platen roller is present, of a ceramic flat base plate 4 in a thermal head 3. Then, a heat sink plate 8 made of an electric material is attached to the downside, or the back side, of the ceramic base plate 4 with the aid of an adhesive. In this case, the heat sink plate 8 used is one bent such that it can come near the platen roller side gradually from both ends of the lengthwise direction to the center, having a corrugated outside with an improved heat radiation effect. |
