PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive and reliable ribbon winder driving mechanism of a type wherein an ink ribbon is switched vertically by a constitution wherein both ends of wire ropes wound on an ink ribbon winder shaft are fixed to a swinging frame which is supported in such a manner that it can swing in relation to the frame of a printer. CONSTITUTION:A frame 3 whereon an ink ribbon cassette 5 is mounted is supported axially and shakably by pins 2 on a carrier 90 whereon a printing head 1 is mounted. By this frame 3, an ink ribbon winder shaft 12 gearing with the gear 8 of the cassette 5 is supported rotatably, and this shaft 12 is provided with a wire winding drum 15 having a one-way clutch, etc. incorporated therein. Wire ropes 30 and 30a are wound on the drum 15, and both ends of the ropes are fixed to a swinging rotation frame 18, which is supported swingably by pins 180 in relation to the fixed frames 16 and 16a of a printer. |
