<p>A free wheel clutch device for a starting motor of an internal combustion engine, of the type comprising a plurality of axial rollers and spring elements for acting thereupon, arranged between axial ribs in a cup-shaped housing, is characterized in that the spring elements are provided by a plurality of shaped, resilient tangs 10 formed around the periphery of a generally plate-like element non-rotatably received within the cup-shaped housing.
