The loom for the production of a straw-mat or the like has a number of stitching mechanisms with needles(19) and rotary-type weft guide members(15). The needles of the stitching mechanisms can move simultaneously up and down by means of a pair of opposite crank mechanisms(4). Rotary weft guide members(15) cooperating with the needles allow the bulk of weft to be fed without passing through a shed. Each guide member(15) has a longitudinal guide hole (15') along the center of its shaft and a bevel gear(14) meshed with the other one (14) on a drive shaft(3). The stitching patch of the weft can be adjusted according to the position of pairs of the stitching mechanism and the weft guide member.
