PURPOSE:To feed continuously and automatically raw tea leaves to a steamer without allowing the raw tea leaves to get stuffy, by providing raw tea leave conveying endless belt conveyors, which are arranged one over the other like stairs and are driven by a variable speed motor, with a plurality of small diameter air holes in communication with a fan. CONSTITUTION:Each of the raw leave conveying endless belt conveyors 5 is supported horizontally on driving wheels 1, 2 and is driven horizontally by a driving motor 3 through transmission mechanism 4 including pulleys, belts, etc. The conveyors 5 are arranged one over the other like stairs, with belt upper surfaces 6 of the conveyors 5, 5... on the feeding side and belt upper surfaces 9 thereof on the take-out side alternatively arranged, and the fan 12 and an air passage 13 are in communication with the small diameter air holes 11, 11... through communication ports 17 in a frame 15. As the driving motor 3 is used a variable speed motor. Thus, raw tea leaves can be automatically conveyed without allowing them to get stuffy. |
