PURPOSE:To maintain the condition for forming always good latent images over a long period of time, by the constitution wherein a photoreceptor such as amorphous silicon having extremely high hardness is used and a magnetic brush consisting of a magnetic abrasive is rubbed therewith as a cleaning means. CONSTITUTION:The magnet existing in the position proximity to a photoreceptor 1 and at least one magnet adjacent therewith among the magnets mounted in a magnetic roll 12 are made the same in polarity to constitute a sleeve 11 so that the abrasive G and waste toner T absorbed thereon are guided to a certain extent. A bias roll 4 turns in an arrow direction C in such a way that the abrasive G having a relatively large weight is dropped into a casing 10 and that the waste toner of a light weight is gathered into a toner receiver 5 by the frictional force between the toner particles. The magnetic forces of magnetic rolls 22, 32 provided with sleeves 21, 31 are powerful in order of the rolls 32, 22, 12, and if these rolls are turned like arrows D, E, the magnetic abrasive G is moved gradually upward until the agent arrives on the surface of the sleeve 11, and the abrasive and waste toner T are removed by the magnetic brush formed on said surface. |
