Glycerol derivatives, inclusive of salts thereof, of the formula
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="26" wi="40" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>wherein R<Sup>1</Sup> is alkyl or alkylcarbamoyl containing 10 to 30 carbon atoms, R<Sup>2</Sup> and R<Sup>3</Sup> are independently hydrogen, C<Sub>1-6</Sub> alkyl or, taken toaether with the adiacent nitrogen atom form cyclic amino, and
