Polyurea reaction injection molded elastomers.

Reaction injection moulded elastomers are made by reacting in a closed mould amine terminated polyethers of average mol. wt. above 1500, an amine terminated chain extender and a polyisocyanate. The amine terminated polyethers have mol. wt. above 2500 and functionality 2-6, e.g. an aminated polyoxypropylene triol of mol. wt. 5000. The chain extender is diethyl toluene diamine. The polyisocyanate is a quasi prepolymer. The reaction mixt. includes an organometallic catalyst, e.g. an organofin cpd. The reaction injection moulded products are used as car body parts.
