PURPOSE:To easily perform the bending of a metallic pipe and the heat treatment of the pipe after bending by the same device, by moving a high frequency coil along an arc-shaped metallic pipe after bending the metallic pipe into the arc-shaped one by heating it with the aid of a high-frequency induction coil. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 1 such as steel pipe is inserted into a high-frequency induction coil 2 with the aids of rolls 7 to heat it by induction heating, and at the same time, the tip part 1a of the pipe 1 is grasped with the aid of an arm 4 of a bending mechanism 3 and is bent into an arc-shape by turning the arm 4 clockwise. Next, the bent part of the pipe 1 is heated by induction heating while turning the coil 2 along the arc of the pipe 1 to perform a heat treatment of the pipe 1 for removing the residual stress produced at the time of bending. Thus the bending and heat treatment of a metallic pipe are reasonably performed by the same device and a simple operation. |
