PURPOSE:To easily fix a wick in a heat pipe, by constituting a heat pipe with a wick being closely contacted with the inside of the pipe by a elasticity of the wick, by winding a wick to a core metal bar to fix the wire thereto by repeated winding of the wire, inserting the core into an unglazed heat pipe and by unwinding the wire by turning the core metal bar. CONSTITUTION:A wire wick 2 is wound to a core metal bar 1, and over there, a wire 3 is spirally wound to fix the wick 2 to the core 1. The core is inserted into an unglazed heat pipe by turning the wick 2 to the same direction of windings, at the same time, the wire 3 is unwound. By this method, the wick 2 is spring-backed and tightly contacted to the inside wall of an unglazed heat pipe 4. Then, after further closely contacting the wick 2 to the inside, the core metal 1 is drawn out by turning the core to the reverse direction from the wound direction of the wick 2, pressing the core 1 to the inside wall of an unglazed heat pipe. Then, an end cap is fitted to the pipe. By this method, a wick can be fixed to the pipe with ease. |
