The bidet fitting permits use in a conventional bathtub or a shower tray in the manner of a bidet, without bulky parts, such as bathtub or shower-tray inserts, being necessary for this purpose. A T-piece (4) is provided, on a leg (5), with a suction-attachment (7) or magnetic-attachment foot, a second leg (8) is designed with a hose connection, and a water nozzle (10) is located on the third leg (3). Commercially available T-pieces (4) are provided with connection threads (3a, 5a, 8a) which are used for fastening the retaining foot (7), the water nozzle (10) and the hose connection piece. Expediently used as hose connection piece is a quick-fitting coupling (16) which can be plugged in and permits a rapid and problem-free connection of the bidet fitting in place of the usual hand-held shower attachment of a shower hose (1). A nozzle (9, 10, 10a) which has a ball-and-socket joint and permits the water jet to be adjusted in all directions may be selected as the water nozzle (10). The arrangement of retaining foot (7), water nozzle (10) and hose connection on the three legs (3, 5, 8) is exchangeable, with the result that an upwardly directed water jet can be obtained by attaching the bidet fitting both to the bathtub edge or to the bathtub base. <IMAGE>
