The machine (1) discharges silage or similar fodder from an upright silo (2), and has a pneumatic extraction unit (3) with a suction pipe (5) whose mouth is near the silo centre. A mechanism (14), thrusting the fodder radially towards the pipe mouth, is mounted on a supporting structure (8) resting directly on the fodder and slewing about a vertical central spindle (16) under the action of a drive mechanism (10,11) at its free end.
