CAMERA HAVING DISCRIMINATOR FOR FILM

PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful consumption of a battery by conducting electricity to a means of detecting the presence or absence of a film loading hole and discriminating the film only in the stage of loading the film. CONSTITUTION:A hole for loading a film which is pressed to a take-up member 9 by a press roll 29 and is taken up thereon is detected by two rolls 34, 36 of a conductive material and the conductive contact parts 30a, 30b of the member 9 facing the same. A binary detection output is generated with a control circuit C2 for feeding of electricity and a detection circuit C2 for information hole. The supply of electric power from a power source B to the circuit C2 is accomplished by a switch SW which is closed only in the stage of loading the film. The wasteful consumption of the battery of a camera having a discriminator for film is prevented by the above-mentioned constitution.
