PURPOSE:To provide a simple structure easily constructible and quality controllable by attaching heat insulating panels, in which polystyrene foam member is used as the main heat insulating member, to the tank body with bolts and filling the joint of panels with a foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating panel consists of a main heat insulating member 7 made of polyurethane and other materials, and polystyrene foam members 8 treated for flexibility and having high contraction and expansion properties, which is placed around the main insulating member 7. Each panel is joined to the other after the insulating bolt 12 provided in its center is installed on the stud nut 11 welded on the tank 1, and polyurethane foam (injection foaming agent) 18 is filled in the joint of the panels. If the heat insulating members contract more than the tank 1 due to some low temp. contents, the displacement due to the contraction is absorbed primarily by the polystyrene foam material 8. Shoud the tank be cracked, the leakage escapes through the clearance between the tank and the members constituting the heat insulating structure. |
