PURPOSE:To enable the adhering of a lens to a lens barrel without generation of distortion by providing a stepped part or a relief part for an adhesive agent on the outside circumferential surface of an optical element such as a photographic lens held in the lens barrel or the inside circumferential surface of the lens barrel. CONSTITUTION:A stepped part 2a is provided in a part on the inside circumferential surface of a lens barrel 2 which holds a work 1 to be held such as a photographic lens or a stepped part 1a is provided on the outside circumferential surface of the work 1. An adhesive 3 is coated on the stepped outside of the work 1 or the stepped core of the barrel 2 and the work 1 is inserted into the barrel 2 or the barrel 2 into the work 1; thereafter, the adhesive 3 is allowed to set. Then, the adhesive 3 oozes only into the stepped gap or slightly into the stepped part but does not ooze on the beveled part or the surface of the work 1 and the shrinkage of the lens surface occuring in the setting of the adhesive is obviated; therefore, the lens is held without any distortion. |
