PURPOSE:To perform economical operation of an internal-combustion engine through an ignition device where high energy is required for an ignition spark, by selectively applying energy in accordance with a vehicle running condition and engine rotary condition and suspending output action of the high energy after general running operation. CONSTITUTION:A high energy request signal Sf such as a revolution increase signal or a high load signal etc is obtained through a high energy request signal generator 7 which detects any increase in a rotary speed or in a load by means of an engine condition sensor 6 such as an engine speed increase sensor or a high load detecting sensor, and processes those informations through a vehicle running status pattern etc. By this signal Sf, a high voltage supply 5 is selectively operated while a selector circuit 8 is selectively operated to select connection to a high voltage supply output. In this way, an ignition mode energized by the high voltage supply is available at acceleration, climbing a slope etc., thus enabling an economical operation to be carried out. |
