PURPOSE:To attain the converter in high speed without the need of ICs, by performing the switching of an odd and even number block alternately, detecting signal at one block at the same time, and using a storage type image sensor array and a thin film transistor (TR) array. CONSTITUTION:A thin film TR array of a block 1 turns on with a block drive circuit 1 and the detection of signal charges stored in the sensor elements from the 1st bit to the m-th bit is started from m-set of detection circuits of a reading circuit 3. A switching pulse of the block 1 turns off, the switching of a block 2 is started and then, the signal detection of the block 2 with a reading circuit 4 is started and the reading circuit 3 scans signals of the 1st - the m-th bit of the block 2 detected at the detection circuit before. The switching of the thin film TR in one block is performed at the same time in this way and the signal charges are transferred once, allowing to improve the scanning speed effectively even if the thin film TRs slow in the response speed are used. |
