PURPOSE:To attain high speed processing, by transferring the unit of picture information where the write is finished independently of the storage of reception information to a recognizing means, reading out the picture information from the storage means as a result of recognition or in response to the instruction of the operator independently of the transfer, and transferring the information to an output means. CONSTITUTION:When one unit of picture information is stored in a receiving buffer section 22, a communication control section 12 informs the storage to a system control section 46 asynchronizing with the operation of a recognition section 38 and an output section 44. The control section 46 instructs the start of operation to an stretching section 24A and the recognizing section 38, feeds the picture information of the buffer section 22 to a reception buffer control section 18, which transfers the information to the expanding section 24A. The expanding section 24A decodes the information and transmits the result to the recognizing section 38. During this operation, the next information is written in the reception buffer 22. The recognizing section 38 recognizes the transferred picture information and stores it in an FD 54. That is, the readout and the recognizing processing are processed in parallel. When the processing of the recognition is finished, the processing goes to the next readout and the recognizing processing. When the result of recognition requests a copy, and there exists an instruction from the operator, the control section 46 instructs the forming to the hard copy output section 44. |
