PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in the vertical resolution, by mixing the digital video signals of the 1st and the 2nd fields obtained from analog video signals for one frame's share through digital pulse modulation, producing the digital video signal of the 3rd field and recording the signals on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:To suppress the deterioration in the vertical resolution of a field picture taking the reproduction of a digital signal reproducer having a field memory only and the field picture reproduction with the fast feed reproduction into consideration, the digital video signal of one field is attenuated and mixed to the digital video signal of the other field as shown in Equations, and the result is recorded as the digital video signal of the other field, where L2n (n is a natural number) in Equations is the picture element data of the 2n-th scanning line from the upper part of the screen, the scanning lines of an odd number order represent the scanning lines of the 1st field and the scanning lines of an even number order represent the scanning lines of the 2nd field. The mixing processing as shown in Equation is done in memories 9, 10 and 11, the picture element data from the main memory of the scanning lines to be mixed in an auxiliary memory is stored, read out and operated sequentially, and stored again in the main memory, allowing to attain the mixing processing. |
