The tyre rim (21) has fitting flanges (50) which protrude radially inwards together with wheel-ring parts (25) of the wheel body (20) at a spacing corresponding to the spacing of the spoke parts (23). Each fitting flange (50) has a conical surface (52) and a radially extending surface (53a), which surfaces enter into engagement with corresponding surfaces (36, 37) of the wheel-ring (25) when fitting the rim (21) to the wheel-ring (25). The fitting flanges (50) are elastically deformed on the wheel-ring (25) in order to obtain full surface contact (37, 53a) and firm seating (36, 52) of the tyre rim (21) on the wheel-ring (25) of the vehicle wheel.
