PURPOSE:To obtain a field picture with high quality and less jaggy, by obtaining picture element data and the field picture of digital video signals of the 3rd field from the digital video signals for one frame's share comprising the 1st field and the 2nd field reproduced from a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The digital video signal of one field is attenuated and mixed to the digital video signal of the other field, the digital video signal of the 3rd field is produced newly and the digital video signal of the 3rd field is written in a memory 94 or 95. The mixing processing shown in Equations is done in a picture element data conversion circuit 87. When a picture element data L2n+1 of the 1st field is reproduced after a prescribed period, the picture element data L2n+1 is multiplied by 1/2, and when the picture element data L2n+2 of the 2nd field is reproduced an auxiliary memory 1/4L2n is read out, the picture element data L2n+2 is multiplied by 1/4, these three kinds of picture element data are mixed, and a picture element data L2n+1' obtained through mixing is written in the main memory. |
