PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in the vertical resolution of a field picture, by mixing the digital video signal on the 1st field and that of the 2nd field obtained from analog video signals for one frame's share through digital pulse modulation, forming the 3rd and the 4th fields and recording the digital video signal on any one of the fields or the both on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:To suppress the reduction in the vertical resolution of the field picture taking the reproduction at a digital signal reproducer having a field memory only and the field picture reproduction with the fast feed reproduction into consideration, the digital video signal of one field is attenuated and mixed to the digital video signal of one field as shown in Equations for the recording, where L2n (n is a natural number) in Equation is a picture element data of the 2n-th scanning line from the upper part of the screen, and the scanning lines of an odd number order represent the scanning lines of the 1st field and the scanning lines of an even order number represent the scanning lines of the 2nd field. The mixing processing of Equations I , II is done in memories 9, 10 and 11, the picture element data from the main memory of the scanning lines to be mixed in the auxiliary memory is stored, the data is read out sequentially, operated and stored again in the main memory, allowing to attain the mixing processing. |
