This method fixes a row of coupling elements(E) by injection moulding onto a support ribbon(T), to produce a sliding clasp closure. The support ribbon has holes(P) along its lengthwise edge, and the coupling elements are formed precisely over the holes. Previous attempts at forming sliding clasp closures by injection moulding have required complex moulds(2,5) and have yielded poor results. This method provides a precise continuous process.
