<p>PURPOSE:To read in skipping over spaces other than necessary spaces and to obtain the same function as the capability of a person, by excluding the space code, which is included in an already inputted character group, from the object to be compared with a designated character group, and performing a prescribed display if the comparison results in coincidence. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of comparing and discriminating circuits 24 and 25 are given to a CPU 2, and outputs of comparing and discriminating circuits 26 and 28 become two inputs of an exclusive OR gate 29, and the output of the gate 29 is given to the CPU 2; and if the comparison between both read codes due to the circuit 25 results in coincidence, the CPU 2 increases by one contents of a search word pointer 21 and a text pointer 23. If this comparison results in disaccord, it is discriminated on a basis of outputs of circuits 26 and 28 whether contents of a call register read out from a text memory 3 are the space code or not. This discrimination is performed by the output of the gate 29; and when the output is ''0'', contents of the pointer 23 are increased by one, and the set number of spaces are skipped over, and the identity of character information such as words is discriminated to perform retrieval.</p> |
