<p>PURPOSE:To measure the rotational torque of a variable resistor with an exact value and with good efficiency by converting the change in resistance that appears on a strain gage to a voltage, comparing the same with a reference voltage and measuring the rotational torque. CONSTITUTION:When a variable resistor 1 receives the rotating force of a driving body 5 through an aluminum pipe 4 and a driver 3, a torsion is generated in the pipe 4 which is a strain medium by the rotating torque of the resistor 1. The degree of the torsion of the pipe 4 varies with the varying magnitude of the rotational torque of the resistor 1, and the strain thereof is transmitted to a strain gage 6. The change in the electrical internal resistance of the gage 6 is converted to a voltage with a comparing discriminator 7 and the voltage is amplified. The amplified voltage is compared with a reference voltage and the voltage within a specified range is discriminated as non-defective and the voltage in the other range as defective. The rotational torque of the resistor 1 which is an object to be measured is thus measured by discriminating the quality of said torque.</p> |
