<p>PURPOSE:To readily discover the cause and the position of a trouble in a generator by providing a device for compensating a field current to supply a trouble current necessary for the operation of a protecting relay of a main circuit. CONSTITUTION:When 3-phase shortcircuit trouble occurs in a generator bus 15 so that a power source voltage drops, a protecting relay 3 for an exciter is energized. Thus, a contact 9 is closed, and the preset current flows via a resistor 10 in a field circuit. On the other hand, since the generator 1 continues rotation by the flywheel effect, it generates an output, and the relay 2 is operated by the generated current. In this manner, since the field current is compensated even when the power source voltage of the exciter decreases or is lost, the cause of the trouble can be readily discovered, and a repairing work can be shortened.</p> |
