PURPOSE:To transmit data unattendedly and to improve workability, by providing a store controller with an automatic power supply circuit, and controlling said circuit automatically by a central collecting device after setting up a transmission mode. CONSTITUTION:A commodity sales data collecting system is constituted by a store controller 1, a MODEM2 on the controller side, a public communication circuit network 3, the central collecting device 4, and a MODEM5 on the device 4. The controller 1 is set up in each chain shop of collect commodity sales data from plural electronic cash registers (ECRs) set up in each shop and transmit the data to the device 4. A power supply circuit 7 connected to an AC power supply 6 is connected to the controller 1 and a power supply switch 8 is connected to the controller 1 and the circuit 7. When a mode alteration switch built in the controller 1 is set up to the transmission mode, ON/OFF of the power supply of the circuit 7 is automatically controlled through a circuit in the controller 1 and the data are transmitted unattendedly. |
