PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a page memory and to improve a control speed, by providng a bit pattern data buffer memory having a storage capacity of bit number corresponding to multi-nozzle number x head moving distance x nozzle pels, of a recording head, and an address control means. CONSTITUTION:The number of bits of the buffer memory BM storing bit pattern data is 16,348 words, by using 128 of nozzle number of the recording head, 256mm. of head moving distance, 8 of nozzle pels with one work -16 bits conversion. An address adder ADD supplies an address signal obtained from the summation of output values of a counter CNT and a latch LAT to the memory BM via an address buffer ADR. RGO-RG127 are parallel serial registers connected to the memory BM, H0-H127 are 128-set of nozzles, and A0-A127 are AND gates taking logical product between the output values of the corresponding registers RG0-RG127 and a clcok signal CLK of a CPU, and applying the result to the nozzle H0-H127. A write end signal FLAG to the memory BM is applied from the CPU to a density pattern conversion circuit DP. The data of addresses at each head scanning words obtained by summing the addresses for the head scanning words' share one after another based on the initial address are read out and printed. |
