PURPOSE:To reduce a thrust load of a rotary electric machine due to magnetically attracting force which operates on an axial gap surface by providing a permanent magnet on the surface opposite to the axial gap surface to the stator of a rotor via a gap. CONSTITUTION:A boss 3 which has a flange is engaged with a rotational shaft 1 which is supported by a pair of bearings 2a, 2b at both shaft ends, and a pluraility of poles of permanent magnet are mounted on one surface of a disc 4 which is made of a ferromagnetic material fixed to the flange of the boss 3 to form a rotor. An axial air gap 12 is formed between the poles 7 of the rotor, and a stator core 11, on which an outer phase armature coil 10 is wound, is mounted in a cup-shaped frame 8. A permanent magnet 14 which is opposed through an auxiliary gap 14 to the surface opposite to the pole 7 side of the disc 4 of the rotor is mounted on a frame 9 of flat plate, thereby operating the attracting force opposite to the magnetically attracting force which operates on the gap 12 to the rotor. |
