PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction of a mobile pawl even though a foreign matter touches the mobile pawl, by restricting the movement of the mobile pawl attached to a part of a handset rest of a telephone device when the handset is detached from its rest. CONSTITUTION:A handset 10 is put on a rest 16 and the pressed from above to have a contact between the setting side of the handset 10 and the supporting side of the rest 16. Thus a mobile pawl 13 interlocks the handset 10 to fix the handset 10 directly to the stage 16. When the handset 10 is picked up and a hook switch 30 rises up, the tip of a stop lever is put into a stop groove 32 formed on the lower surface of the catch 13 in order to restrict the movement of the pawl 13. As a result, a malfunction of the pawl 13 by which the pawl 13 turns and then couples erroneously the side wall of the rest 16 can be eliminated even though a part of a speaker's body or another foreign matter touch the pawl 13 in a busy state. |
