PURPOSE:To improve the leakageproofness of the captioned battery by using an annular gasket that increases the degree of crystallization by nylon 11 or 12 containing a specific amount of carbon black. CONSTITUTION:Nylon 11 or 12 containing carbon black by 0.05 to 1.0wt% is molded into an annular gasket by an injection molding machine or the like. Since the degree of crystallization of nylon 11 or 12 in thus obtained gasket is low, it is increased to 25 to 50% by heating and processing nylon 11 or 12 in the environment of vacuum, an inert gas, or water vapor. Even if the degree of crystallization is increased, however, the deformation of the gasket is prevented by the presence of carbon black. As a result, the fitting of the gasket in a negative electrode terminal block is performed properly and the leakageproofness of a button type alkaline battery is improved. |
